What is Sibs Weekend?
The University of Cincinnati's Sibs Weekend is a shared experience for UC students and their siblings, friends and relatives from age 12 and older. The weekend adventure is comprised of events and games across UC's campus and is sure to be fun for everyone!

What is a "sib"?
We consider a "sib" to be a brother, sister, niece, nephew, neighbor, or family friend between the age 12 and older.

I have a sib who is younger than 12 can they still attend?
We do not want to discourage any sibling from coming to campus. However, our events are designed for ages 12 and up.

Where do the siblings stay for the weekend?
To make the most authentic campus experience the siblings stay with the current UC Student in their dorm room or off-campus housing.

What does the $15.00 registration fee cover?
During Sibs Weekend, students and sibs will be provided food on Friday night and Saturday afternoon.  Several events are planned for the weekend and participation fees are covered by the registration cost.  Each participant will also receive a Sibs Weekend t-shirt.

Do the sibs have to attend all the events?
Students and sibs are not required to attend all events however; there will be many great and varied activities during the entire weekend. At each event the participants attend, they will receive a Cincinnopoly Game Piece which increases their chances of winning great prizes.

Can my child participate without a waiver form?
We are unable to allow any young adult to participate without a waiver.

When should we pick up our "Sib" or child?
The event is officially over on Sunday after the awards ceremony and brunch around noon. Most students tend to get picked up on Sunday.

Can parents attend Sibs Weekend?
We understand and appreciate that many parents may be driving a great distance to bring the sib to UC for the weekend and therefore have arranged a special rate at two local hotels. All of our events are tailored towards young people ages 12-18. However, there is a wide variety of places to see and things to do while in Cincinnati and we encourage you to stay for the weekend. Where do parents stay for the weekend?
We recommend staying at the Marriott Kingsgate Hotel (located on campus) or The Vernon Manor Hotel (located near campus). Arrangements can be made with the hotel directly.

What should I bring to Sibs Weekend?
You'll need clothes and toiletries for two days and nights. Some activities are outside so come prepared for the weather. Bring a swimsuit for the pool and lazy river at the new Rec Center.
