College of Medicine Reunion Weekend 2018

Rekindle friendships that made your time at UC College of Medicine memorable. Reunion Weekend 2018 will provide the stage for you to gather with fellow UC College of Medicine alumni, faculty and friends while you reminisce about where your medical career began.

We are celebrating class years ending in 3 and 8 for the 2018 Reunion Weekend.

Thursday, April 12

Welcome ReceptionKingsgate Marriott, Bearcat Lounge
Kickoff Reunion Weekend by reuniting with fellow alumni and college representatives over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

Friday, April 13

Breakfast, Programming and Tour– College of Medicine

Breakfast, 8-9 am – Begin the day with a hot breakfast buffet.

Dean’s Report/College Update, 8:30-9:00 am – William S. Ball, MD Senior Vice President for Health Affairs and Dean, College of Medicine will present a college update and his vision for the future of the UC College of Medicine.

Student Experience Presentation, 9:00-9:30 am – Hear from current medical students on the experiences they are having outside the classroom with patients and the college’s new curriculum.

Walking Tour, 9:45-11:30 am –Take a trip down memory lane and see what is new on a walking tour. The tour stops by the library, surgical amphitheater, University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Helipad, Henry R. Winkler Center for the History of the Health Professions and more along the way.

Luncheon & Programming

Lunch, 12:00-1:00 pm – Join your classmates and current medical students for lunch to share your medical school memories and hear about the memories the students are making. College representatives will also be around including the beloved IvaDean.

Medical School Recruitment and Interview Process Overview, 1:00-1:45 pm – Would you get into UC Medical School today? Hear an update on the college’s newest interview format, Multiple Mini Interviews.

Distinguished Alumni Recognition Program and Class Parties, 6-11 p.m. – Enjoy a brief program to recognize the 2018 Distinguished Alumni and 50th and 25th Reunion Classes, then a private party just for your medical school class, Hilton Netherland Plaza

Breakfast, Programming and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center Tour Kingsgate Marriott

Breakfast, 8:00-9:00 am – Start the day off with a hot and healthy breakfast.

The History of Daniel Drake, 9:00-9:45 am- Presented by Philip Diller, MD, PhD. The life of Daniel Drake is relevant not only to our institutional history, but also for individuals who want to make a difference in their community, and particularly for young physicians.

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center Tour, 10:00-11:30 am – Join Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center representatives for a tour of their amazing facilities.

Luncheon, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Enjoy a lunch buffet before taking in the sights of Cincinnati, Kingsgate Marriott

Cincinnati Reds vs. St. Louis Cardinals Baseball GameGame Time 1:10 pm – Meet fellow alumni and friends at the ballpark to watch the Reds take on the Cardinals, Great American Ballpark

Alumni Reception - Christian Moerlein Lager House, 4-8 p.m. – Downtown Cincinnati is transforming and this is your opportunity to see what the city has to offer. Join us for a reception and then head out to one of the amazing restaurants in downtown Cincinnati at The Banks or on our tour of Cincinnati craft beer breweries. Moerlein Lager House

Cincinnati Brewery Bus Tour, 7-10 p.m. – Hop on the Craft Connection bus for a tour of three Cincinnati craft beer breweries. Each stop includes the opportunity to enjoy drinks from the brewery, Christian Moerlein Lager House
