Volunteer Opportunities

Take KBSer To Work

As an alumnus/a who is in the workforce, you are in a role where you can help a Kolodzik Business Student learn from your experience. You can participate regardless of whether you are local or distant. We hope our students can find you on LinkedIn and can ask you to say “Yes!” to their request to spend a day with you.

Dinner with 12 Strangers

Host a dinner with 12 students. As the host, you decide the date, time location and menu. All expenses you incur as a result of hosting Dinner with 12 Bearcats are considered a tax-deductible gift-in-kind to the University of Cincinnati Alumni Association.

Guest Speakers

Visit a classroom or speak to a student organization to share information about your career success/journey.

National Outreach

Live outside of Cincinnati? That’s okay! We have many options for volunteers that live outside of the Cincinnati area. Staying in touch with your university is a great way to help shape the future of UC and Lindner. Help current students or future alumni with relocating to a new city. If you would be interested in meeting with co-op student or young alumnus to help them become familiar with their new home please contact us. For Bearcats that live outside Cincinnati you can always visit our National Network website. https://www.alumni.uc.edu/national.

Commencement

See the smiling faces of all our graduates as they walk across the stage. Help the Lindner Alumni Relations Office and welcome them to the alumni family as you pass out gifts on the day of graduation.

Cats on Deck

Interested in helping a student successfully transition to the professional world. We will match fourth and fifth year students with alumni volunteers to create a support system for our students that have traveled here from all over the world. This program will match 1-2 students with one mentor. The mentor will reach out to the students in the fall and in the spring, the groups will participate in a variety of activities as well as have one-on-one conversations with their mentor.

Bearcat LaunchPad

Become a mentor for Bearcat Launch Pad. Bearcat LaunchPad is the nation's first student-led business accelerator which operates out of the Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati. This organization helps UC students take their individual skill sets and apply them to an idea that is carefully crafted into a viable business proposal. Through the course of one year, students learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur.

Alumni Events

Promote and attend alumni and student networking or fundraising events on or off campus. Attend our annual Distinguished Alumni Celebration or The Cincinnati Business Achievement Awards. This event highlights the accomplishments and support of individuals and business partners who make an impact in the Lindner College of Business, the Cincinnati community and the global business world.

Women of Lindner

We’re calling all female graduates from the UC Carl H. Lindner College of Business to come together to champion the power of women and advance women both personally and professionally. The newly created Women of Lindner Alumni program is an opportunity to engage female professionals along the full spectrum of career development and success. Contact the Alumni Relations office to see how to get more involved.

Lindner Board of Governors

The Alumni Board of Governors at UC's Carl H. Lindner College of Business is a volunteer group that supports college initiatives through student scholarships and alumni outreach.

Partnering with the college and the UC Alumni Association, the group offers events throughout the year to engage alumni, as well as build student/alumni relationships. Resume submission and elections take place in spring of the calendar year for board membership.
