More About Hyperloop UC

The pods were a concept unveiled by SpaceX in 2013 as a new high-speed ground transportation system with the time-saving qualities of a plane and ease of use of a subway. An interdisciplinary group of UC students led by master’s student Dhaval Shiyani, the Bearcat team earned its spot in the competition by beating out over 1,200 other teams from around the world.
