On April 28, we will be welcoming the newest group of Bearcat alumni to the UC Alumni Association family!

The #UCWhatsNext campaign is all about sharing post-graduation details for the Class of 2018 with you in hopes that they can get a head start on living arrangements, key places to shop, and building their alumni network. We hope that you will take an opportunity to create a dialogue with our newest Bearcat Alums.

Make sure you join the conversation on social using #UCWhatsNext

After graduation, I will attend The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH for graduate school, where I will be studying social work. My goal is to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and work with mental health and substance abuse clients, as well as work as a hospital social worker. I am also very interested in counseling juveniles to get them on the right track. There are multiple areas I would like to work within the social work profession, but would like to experience any and everything to see what I love most!

What’s next? That’s a good question.... I want to buy a house? But does it have to be in Cincinnati?I want to be a project manager . But does it have to be in Cincinnati? Honestly, I really don’t know. It’s not until you graduate that you realize that UC has just given you the world. The world it self just got smaller knowing that with the knowledge I have gained from UC can open doors for me anywhere. So, my plans are to re-marry my wife, add an addition to the family , and to become a very successful Project Manager. The question that is still unanswered is , “Where?”. UC just handed me the key to the world. Where do I use it? Or, I should stay here and give UC another go? I still have an MBA to grasp. Also, my plan is to push my kids to strive higher than I have ever gone. I hope to one day call my kids a bear cat. I know it’s their choice , I know. But..... the thought would be nice. UC have given me the key to the world , I would be a fool not to use it.

Matthew Hoendorf

I will be working full time for the company that I co-oped.
