University of Cincinnati Governmental Relations Update
Ginger Warner Honored for UC Advocacy Efforts – May 2016
University of Cincinnati trustee Ginger Warner was honored May 5 with the inaugural UC Advocate of the Year award, recognizing her tireless support for the university.
More than 100 people, including many members of the recently formed UC Advocates network, saluted Warner while celebrating their collective mission of enhancing UC’s advancement through strategic advocacy with elected officials at the federal, state and local levels, many of whom were in attendance in the West Pavilion of Nippert Stadium.
The UC Alumni Advocacy network is particularly active in communicating with members of Ohio’s General Assembly to help ensure that state legislators fully understand UC’s impact within the state’s higher education community and the broader economic and culture infrastructure, and then bring that understanding into their deliberations around higher education funding and other decisions affecting UC.
