A Message from Dean Petren

While the past year has marked significant changes for our university and our country, it has also been a year of growth here at UC, and I’m proud of the real difference our A&S faculty, alumni, students and staff have made on campus and in our communities.

Looking back over the past year, I‘m amazed by what we have achieved and I want to share some of our high points as we look forward to 2017. An increase in donor-funded scholarships has made completing an A&S education possible for more students, and we had the opportunity to thank some of our donors at our inaugural scholarship reception this past October. Faculty research continues to make a worldwide impact, and our alumni and friends continue to astonish us with their accomplishments, commitment, and generosity.

Thank you all for an amazing 2016 – I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together this year.

Sincerely,

Kenneth Petren
