Meet Dr. Gjoko Muratovski
The College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning is pleased to introduce Dr. Gjoko Muratovski as the next Director of The Myron E. Ullman, Jr. School of Design. Dr. Muratovski has over 20 years of global, multidisciplinary design and branding experience that spans from Europe to Asia and Australia, to the Americas. He has worked with a wide range of governmental, not-for-profit, and corporate organizations. In addition to having broad industry involvement, Dr. Muratovski also has significant academic experience that ranges from teaching and curriculum development to research, education management and academic leadership. His education and professional development spans across eleven countries. He comes to us from Auckland University of Technology (AUT) where his most recent position was as Senior Manager of the School of Art & Design.

Gjoko Muratovski emerged as a dynamic personality and globally respected design researcher and educator. He has balanced corporate consulting with publishing, and managing international conferences. We are glad that he finds UC, DAAP and the School of Design as a program where he can bring his insights and experience to work with faculty to further develop our vision for undergraduate and graduate education.
Dr. Muratovski has recently been appointed as an international expert advisor to China working with the Dean of Design at Tongi University and his book Research for Designers: A Guide to Methods and Practice has been adopted by design schools around the world. He will be joined by his wife and young daughter.
