UnCorked is the wine club for alumni of the University of Cincinnati. Each month we'll take you to a unique location around the city to sample great food paired with great wine. Events are intimate and limited to a small, exclusive group of guests.

Our upcoming events are listed below. Tickets generally sell out very quickly for UnCorked events, so please email Russell Best to have your name added to our email list. That way you'll be the first to hear when tickets go on sale.

UnCorked With Tablespoon Cooking Co.

Wine club with a hands-on culinary twist!

For this edition of UnCorked, we’ve teamed up with UC alumna Jordan Hamons (Bus ’13), Chef + Owner of Tablespoon Cooking Co. Located in Over-the-Rhine at Findlay Kitchen, Tablespoon Cooking Co. teaches home cooks of all skill levels how to cook good food through hands-on cooking classes, in-home private lessons, and culinary events.

Attendees will help prepare the evening’s menu. Don’t be intimidated! Each dish includes wine in the recipe along with wine pairings for each course. And we’ll have wine to drink while cooking. Tablespoon Cooking Co. believes cooking should be personal and fun.

Menu

Red Wine Poached Pear Salad with Mixed Winter Greens, Blue Cheese, Candied Walnuts and White Wine Vinaigrette

Coq Au Vin — a classic French dish where chicken is slowly braised in red wine with bacon, mushrooms and onions.

Red Wine Chocolate Cake

Lauren Wiethe from Vintner Select will be pouring and discussing the wine selections.

Attendees should wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes.
