Join the UC School of Social Work virtually to learn more about political advocacy for practicing social workers. Learn how to track legislation, engage effectively with elected officials, and use the NASW Code of Ethics to guide meaningful action on behalf of your clients. This webinar is complimentary. This program is approved for one hour of continuing education credit by the University of Cincinnati School of Social Work for social workers licensed in Ohio.

Assistant Professor, BSW-DL Program Director, University of Cincinnati School of Social Work

In addition to teaching policy, research and theory, Dr. Whitted is a former Ohio State Representative. During her time in the Statehouse, she served on committees including Primary and Secondary Education, Insurance, and Safety and Transportation. In addition to her legislative work, Dr. Whitted is a political social worker who has worked on various local and state campaigns, with involvement in grassroots organizing efforts, coalition building, and a local bipartisan Political Action Committee which she co-founded.
