BME Department 25th Anniversary Celebration
Celebrate 25 years of Biomedical Engineering!
Join the Department of Biomedical Engineering as we celebrate 25 years of innovation, discovery, and impact — and look ahead to what's next for BME.
BME 25th Anniversary Open House & Symposium
Friday, Oct. 30
3:30-6:30 p.m.
Bioscience Center
3159 Eden Ave.
Cincinnati, OH
Kick off the anniversary weekend with an afternoon celebrating BME's past, present and future.
Hear from former faculty members who helped establish the department, including Frank Noyes MD; Ed Grood, PhD; and Christy Holland, PhD, as they reflect on BME’s history and evolution. Current Department Head Tom Talavage, PhD, will also share a look at the department today and where BME is headed next.
Throughout the open house, you’ll have the opportunity to visit labs in the Bioscience Center and connect with current students and faculty to learn more about their research and BME’s current work.
BME at the Grid
Friday, Oct. 31
3 hours prior to kickoff
The Grid
UC Uptown Campus
Spot 142
Continue the celebration on Saturday with fellow BME alumni, faculty and friends at a pregame gathering on the Grid. We'll meet at Spot 142 three hours before kickoff then head to Nippert Stadium to cheer on the Bearcats!
Whether you join us for one event or make a weekend of it, we hope you’ll come back to campus to reconnect with former classmates and faculty, meet today’s BME students, and celebrate 25 years of the department.
Football Tickets
A limited number of football tickets have been reserved for BME alumni and guests in Section 118 for $70 each. Tickets may be picked up at the BME pregame gathering at Spot 142 beginning three hours prior to kickoff.
Registration for all events is requested by Friday, Oct. 16, so we know how many Bearcats to expect.
This event is open to all University of Cincinnati alumni, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, sexual orientation, or any other class or status protected by applicable law.
