Alumni

Volunteer with the UC College-Conservatory of Music

Alumni like you are making vital contributions across creative platforms every day and helping to continue the legacy of CCM. Your experiences can provide both personal and professional opportunities for current students. Volunteer your time with the college to inspire the stars of tomorrow!

Many opportunities listed below occur throughout the year on a rolling basis, making it easy to schedule around your availability. Please review and submit your interest using the online form or contact Ellen Stedtefeld, CCM alumni liaison at stedteea@foundation.uc.edu or 513-588-4428.

Come share your skills in a Masterclass or workshop! Bring your real-world experience back to the classroom in an afternoon workshop or multi-day session.

Come share your story or career path to help inspire CCM students. These presentations give students a glimpse into the post-CCM professional world while giving alumni the opportunity to share their unique experiences.

If you know of an internship, residency or full-time employment opportunity within your organization, these positions can be shared on-campus to help connect our students to valuable new experiences.

Promote, attend and assist at alumni and student networking or fundraising events on or off campus. Events in need of alumni volunteers include Moveable Feast and the Lonely Instruments for Needy Kids (LINKS) Program.

Through “Dinner with Bearcats,” UC alumni host current students for dinner (in their homes or at restaurants) and an evening of networking and socializing. Such interaction allows everyone to share their stories and learn about their respective experiences and aspirations.

Many of today’s youth have the talent and desire to participate in music, but something is missing—an instrument! Through CCM’s LINKS program, you can donate your used instruments to promising young musicians who cannot afford to rent or purchase their own. LINKS collects and distributes instruments to children in local elementary, middle and high school bands and orchestras, as well as students in the CCM Preparatory Department. Volunteer at the collection event in the spring or donate your instrument today!
