Join the UC Alumni Association for a powerful BEARCATS/Lead presentation with Dr. Jane Sojka, author of Women & Power: Your Guidebook to Risk, Resilience, and Confidence. She will discuss how to lead with confidence and empower your own voice in the work place and life in general. A professor of marketing and professional selling at UC’s Lindner College of Business, Dr. Sojka will share how her own classroom experience with her students translates into tools and lessons for personal and professional success. Reading the book in advance of the event is not required.

Registration is $25 and includes breakfast, parking and a copy of Dr. Sojka's book. Please register by Monday, May 11.


About Jane Sojka, PhD

Dr. Sojka is a professor of marketing and professional selling at Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati. She graduated with honors in English from Indiana University, then earned her M.B.A. from Wichita State University and doctorate from Washington State University.
Dr. Sojka has worked as a marketing consultant for large and small businesses across the country. Prior to that role, she was a buyer and materials manager for the Coleman Company in Wichita, Kan. She has been published in marketing journals, authored numerous teaching materials, and presented papers at national conferences. Her research interests include affect and decision processing, sales and sales management, visual/verbal communication, and marketing pedagogy.


BEARCATS/Lead is a series of thoughtful, interdisciplinary conversations with subject matter experts in the UC community. BEARCATS/Lead covers topics such as leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and more. All alumni are invited to participate.
