Join 4A for Alumni and Student Networking, designed to connect UC students and alumni through professional development and mentorship.

This event bridges the gap between current students and established professionals, offering attendees valuable career insights and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships within the Bearcat network. The evening will feature a dinner followed by a moderated panel discussion with distinguished UC alumni leaders exploring leadership, mentorship and networking. We’ll conclude with an interactive speed networking session.

Registration is $25 and includes a dinner buffet and parking validation. Space is limited. Please register by Thursday, March 5. Parking will be available in CCM Garage

Provide a UC student access to meaningful professional connections. Your gift sponsors a student’s attendance at the Alumni & Student Professional Networking Dinner, where they’ll meet alumni professionals, gain career insight and practice networking skills in a supportive environment.

Cost can prevent students from participating. Your support removes that barrier and provides direct exposure to mentorship and career pathways. The Alumni Association will thoughtfully invite the students who attend.

Tianay Amat is the President and CEO of Cincinnati Works, an organization dedicated to eliminating poverty through employment. With a 25-year career in education leadership, she was recently honored as a 2025 YWCA Career Woman of Achievement. Tianay holds an MEd in Education Administration from UC.

Jabari Shaw Esq., Bus ’20

Jabari Shaw is an associate attorney at Vorys, specializing in intellectual property and trademark law. He assists athletes and entertainers with name, image and likeness strategies. Jabari earned his MBA from UC.

Darrick Dansby Headshot

Darrick Dansby, A&S ’96, CECH ’02

Darrick Dansby is a Realtor at Coldwell Banker Realty and serves on the Cincinnati City Planning Commission. He founded BuildCincy and OwnCincy to support Black real estate development and homeownership. He also serves on the board for the African American Chamber of Commerce. Darrick earned his BA in History and MEd in Education from UC.

Meredith Smith Headshot

Meredith Smith, PhD, A&S ’06, CECH ’08, ’15

Dr. Meredith Smith is the Executive Director of Cradle Cincinnati, an organization that focuses on infant mortality and health equity. She founded Queens Village, a community-led initiative empowering Black women to eliminate racial disparities in infant and maternal health. She is a Field Professor with the UC College of Medicine and earned her BA in Communication and her MA and PhD in Educational Studies from UC.
